What Is Cleopatra's Legacy
“The idea of freedom is inspiring. But what does it mean? If you are free in a political sense but have no food, what's that? The freedom to starve?”
― Angela Y. Davis
Cleopatra's Legacy is a blog that is meant to empower Our Everyday Queens as well as Our Everyday Kings. When starting this blog I wanted to make it about being black, being a woman and uplift souls so they can know that just like them, there are people in the world with the same issues. Some of these issues can sometimes leave you sitting at home wondering if your all alone. I can write about myself in this section but it's not just about me, its about you, it's about marriage, family values and about the "Black Legacy." In this presence moment the world is making it so difficult to be who you are, especially with the political uprising, racial tension and worse, the broken economy. So I decided to take my skill and help with empowering stories that I have endured as well as ones that affects us as a people. We forget our legacy is important because there are devils that wants to erase them. It's so much that can be written about and I plan on doing just that. So I can I say, "This is Sparta, This is Life and Now is the Legacy."
"True leaders don't invest in buildings. Jesus never built a building. They invest in people. Why? Because success without a successor is failure. So your legacy should not be in buildings, programs, or projects; your legacy must be in people."
-Myles Munroe-
